On Monday, I got to hang out with my my favorite little guy. I picked him up from school at noon and we went to McDonald's, his favorite place (surprising, huh?). We ate and played with his pirate toy that he got in his happy meal and then headed to my house. We decided that we wanted to make Halloween cookies so I searched the web for cut out cookies. I already had Halloween cookie cutters so I found a recipe for chocolate ones. Major helped me put the ingredients in the mixing bowl and stir them together. We had a lot of fun rolling out the dough and cutting it to make all the fun shapes. I am pretty sure we ate more of the dough then actual cookies. They did not turn out that great at all. I am not sure what we did wrong.... But we enjoyed icing them and eating the icing. =) After we filled our tummy's with lots of sugar it was time for him to go home. We had so much fun together. He kept saying, "are your my best friends KK?" I love him so much.

Been a while...
I haven't felt like blogging lately. It's not that nothing has been going on, I just haven't felt like taking the time to sit down and write about it.
Lets see, what has been going on in the Martin household......Oh....
*We have been to more weddings.
A co worker of mine Kiley got married on September 20th. It was beautiful! They had it at The Tribute. I had never heard about this place. It is a Country Club in Frisco.
Lauren and Eric got married last weekend. They were so happy and in love! It was a beautiful wedding as well. They are honeymooning in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. I am so jealous!
*Some of Ryan and I's best friends have finally moved back "home". We are so excited for Chris and Angela!
*I have to get braces on October 20th. UGH!! That's what I get for rubbing it in to peoples faces that I have never had braces..... I am really not looking forward to it. Please pray that I will remember that it is not the outward appearance that God cares about it is the inward.
*Ryan and I are finally getting involved in our church and meeting some great people.
We joined a small group on Sunday nights. It is a smaller group which I love and everyone is in their 20s or early 30s. We are really excited about getting to know this group and to have them to share our lives with.
Well I know that more has happened in the past couple of weeks, but that is all I have for now. Hope everyone has a wonderful day!!

GRAPEFEST!!!
Last Friday Ryan and I decided to go check out Grapefest. It was pretty fun. There were tons of people there. We ran into a lot of people we have not seen in a while. Its a pretty cool set up. There are like 3 or so stages set up that have different music. There are tons of vendors that have some neat stuff. And there is PLENTY of food. They also have a huge fair at one end of it. We met my sis, Sean and Major there. Major got his face painted to look like spider man. He had a blast on the rides. Here are some pictures...

Ted Nugent!!!
This weekend for my dad's birthday we all went to Fort Worth to see Ted Nugent @ Billy Bob's. WOW! That's what I have to say about this guy! He is like 60 and has more energy than a 6 year old!! We had a blast! He knows how to put on a good show. He was pretty big when my parents were younger. I have never been that in to rock N roll, but he was pretty good, even though you couldn't understand a word he was singing or should I say yelling. Here are some pictures.

Red White and Blue!!!
Celebrating July 4th has always been a big deal in my family. For the past 22 years, my grandparents have held an old fashion family picnic at their cabin in east texas. It is always a blast! Ryan and I always invite our good friends to come hangout. The day consists of sitting around a HUGE tree and chatting, eating, a pinata, an egg toss, sack races and tug a war over a mud pit! It's a very relaxing but eventful day. This year we drove down Friday night to make the weekend a little longer. We played games and were serenaded by the boys and their guitars.
When we got back to our house on Sunday we discovered that our air conditioner went out. It was 91 degrees!! We stayed at my parents house Sunday and Monday night. It was actually a lot of fun and I am kinda happy how it all worked out.
