Three More Days!

We are finally coming home!! Ryan finished all his exams and received his class ring and cap and gown. Its almost official! He is about to graduate from college. CRAZY!! We are both so excited for him to be done and to be back home in Texas. We are going to miss Norman, Oklahoma very much. Last Saturday I threw Ryan a Birthday/Goodbye party. He turned 23 on December 6th. It was a great turn out. His friend Landon helped me make a video that we played for him there. He loved it. The party was a great way for us to say our goodbyes and hang out with everyone one last time before we moved. We have met some amazing people here @ OU. We are hoping to stay in touch with all of them and visit Norman often.

This last week the state of Oklahoma has gone through what the news is calling a "Natural Disaster". The power went out in our house around 12Am Monday morning. When we woke up it was pretty cold and dark in our house so we got in our car and headed to Hastings, a little coffee shop/book store, so Ryan could study and I had a chance to catch up on my bible study. As we were driving we were in shock of the disaster that we saw. Every other tree was broken in half and had fallen to the ground. We saw a couple of cars that were destroyed by the trees. Every where that had power was packed by people who had no power and no where to go. That night we stayed at a friends house with our friends Jason and Andrea on the other side of town. We found out that 85% of Norman was out of power!! We woke up early Tuesday and went to our house to see if we had power and to check on our dogs. We unfortunately did not have power. Ryan took 2 of his finals and I had lunch with my bible study girls! We stayed in a hotel room Tuesday night with Jason and Andrea. I had so much fun hanging out with Andrea and Jason. Ryan had to study most of the time. We got our power back Wednesday late afternoon.

I have been packing up and get stuff together to move out on Saturday when our parents come up. They should be here in the morning and we hope to get the cars packed and everything moved out by the evening. Ryan's graduation is on Sunday afternoon. YEA!! After his graduation we hope to head our way to The Big State of TEXAS!!

Please pray for all the people in Norman that still do not have power. And the people who have lost cars due to this disaster.
