Family Photos

Last week we took family photos with my family. We decided that we needed an updated picture since we added a new member. (Ryan). They turned out ok. My Aunt Linda took them and did a pretty good job for not being a proffessional photographer.

This is Gus, one of our donkeys. He's precious!

Ted Nugent!!!

This weekend for my dad's birthday we all went to Fort Worth to see Ted Nugent @ Billy Bob's. WOW! That's what I have to say about this guy! He is like 60 and has more energy than a 6 year old!! We had a blast! He knows how to put on a good show. He was pretty big when my parents were younger. I have never been that in to rock N roll, but he was pretty good, even though you couldn't understand a word he was singing or should I say yelling. Here are some pictures.

Red White and Blue!!!

Celebrating July 4th has always been a big deal in my family. For the past 22 years, my grandparents have held an old fashion family picnic at their cabin in east texas. It is always a blast! Ryan and I always invite our good friends to come hangout. The day consists of sitting around a HUGE tree and chatting, eating, a pinata, an egg toss, sack races and tug a war over a mud pit! It's a very relaxing but eventful day. This year we drove down Friday night to make the weekend a little longer. We played games and were serenaded by the boys and their guitars.

When we got back to our house on Sunday we discovered that our air conditioner went out. It was 91 degrees!! We stayed at my parents house Sunday and Monday night. It was actually a lot of fun and I am kinda happy how it all worked out.

Lawn Care Day

Thursday evenings at our house are now designated to lawn care! I did not realize how much of a workout you could get from working in the yard. Today we didn't get a lot done cause there is so much to do. We kinda missed the whole spring cleanup thing. Ryan mowed and I cut the bushes down and trimmed the vines. It looks a lot better but still needs some work. Working on our yard made it more real to me that we have our own home, It made me appreciate it more.

The last couple of weeks have been great. Nice and relaxing. We have been so busy the last couple of months that we do not know what to do with all of this time. But we are figuring it out pretty quickly.

I am completely on my own now at work. I started a new schedule where I only work 3 days a week. In July I will start working Mondays though. But it has been kinda nice. I have been able to go on lunch and coffee dates with my girlfriends, sis and mom. I have more time to run my errands and get stuff done around the house.

Well i do not feel like writing anymore. toodles!

WEDDING SEASON

Hello everyone! Summer is finally here!! Which to Ryan and I means WEDDING SEASON! The past two weekends have been filled with wedding fun! On May 24th , also my birthday, our friends Jenny and Jonathon got married. It was a beautiful wedding and I had a privilege to be in it. The ceremony and reception were in downtown Dallas.

Last wednesday night Ryan and I and some of our friends (The Burnetts, Jason and Unruh) rented a mini van (somehow we did not capture a picture, but it was the coolest van ever) and drove to Omaha, Nebraska for Josh and Becca's wedding. We left around 10PM and arrived around 10AM Thursday morning. It was a long but very fun ride. Their wedding was beautiful. We had a lot of crazy moments from getting lost on the way to the ceremony to rockin out in the mini van around downtown. Here are some pics of the trip.

Me, Patrick and Angela in the backseat of the mini van rockin out!

Our Weekend!

This weekend was eventful like always but a lot of fun. Friday night we went over to my sister and brother in law's house for dinner. Their friends Megan and Blake came over too and we grilled out. Some how the night was separated boys from girls. But that was ok with me cause I am always in the mood for some girl talk.

Saturday I worked till 4, it was very busy in the salon cause a bridal party came in to get up-do's. But it was so much fun watching them get all done up and all excited about the night. Ryan had a boy day with Sean (my brother in law) they went fishing in the morning and hit golf balls at a driving range in the afternoon. Actually you can exactly call it a "boy day" for the simple fact that Ryan had to go to Dream Dinners ( a place where you can prepare your meals and then freeze them until your ready to cook them) and he had to put on an apron and prepare our meals for the month... Haha! I do not think he knew what he was getting himself into. He said it was pretty awkward at the beginning and that he will never go by himself again!! However the women in their told him that he got some brownie points. I think they were pretty impressed. I have trained him right I guess!! JUST KIDDING! He is so great!! I love him so much!! And feel blessed that he was willing to go and do that for me.

After work I came home and freshened up to go out to dinner for Ryan's grandpa's 80th birthday. We went to Tru Lucks. It was a very nice restaurant. Pretty expensive but delicious! After dinner we went to Ryan's Aunt and Uncles to open presents and have cake and ice cream. If you have not had the chocolate cake from Costco, you have to go get it and try it. It is to die for!!!

This morning Ry and I went to church then came back home and cleaned house. We are trying to finish getting our house together. Today we got some shelves for the garage and got it a little more organized. I painted a piece of furniture for the guest bedroom. I am really excited cause I put the crackle stuff on it and now I just need to put the top color on it. I can't wait to see what it looks like. I hope good! Tonight we went to Mimi and Papa's (Ryan's grandparents) house for dinner. They just added a stoned patio to their back yard and wanted us to come and see it and enjoy it. It looks great. They grilled some steaks for us and Ryan's parents and sister. We always have so much fun with them. They love to just sit and talk.

Oh my album came in!! I love it!! It's so nice to have a little book of our wedding to look through to remind us of what a wonderful day it was.

Well, I am tired and going to bed. I am so excited that tomorrow is going to be sunny!! I am going to lay out all day i hope!
