here are a couple of videos that I took of the weekend.

a fun packed weekend

This weekend was alot of fun! On Friday night after Ryan got off work, we met at the stockyards in Fort Worth. We have found out that we like Fort Worth more than Dallas. It's more us! The stockyards is so neat. Its like old town Fort Worth I guess. We went to a bar inside the Stockyards Hotel and I had a really good margarita and Ryan had beer.

We sat there and hung out until our friends Chris, Angela, Josh, Jason and Unruh got there. We met them at a resturant there called Riskey's Steakhouse. We ate dinner and then the boys went to Billy Bob's to see Robert Earl Keen while me and Angela went back to her parents house in Flower Mound. It was so nice seeing all of our friends. We can not wait till everyone is a little closer so we can hang out more often.

Saturday we went to the rodeo in Fort Worth with my family. We had a blast but it was a long day. We got there at 10 am and left around 5 pm. I am so glad we went though. We saw almost
every kind of farm animal there is. The rodeo was great!

On Sunday we went to the Mavericks game. My grandma got all of her kids(my dad and his siblings) and grandkids a suite at the Mavericks game. We all met at my "mama Judy's" house and carpooled to the game. We got there an hour early so we could get all we could from the suite. It was so much fun. They served us dinner and brought by a huge dessert tray. It was yummy. Best of all, the Mavericks one!!

Bored

This week has been kinda "blah". We are in the middle of a big transition. We just bought our first house and now we are just waiting to move in. I feel so lazy cause there is not much to do. Right now, we are still living with Ryan's parents so I do not have a house to clean and groceries to buy and bills to pay. I do not want to get a job yet, cause I want to be able to move into my house with out the stress. Last week I was pretty busy with getting everything ready to close on our house and running errands. This week I feel like I am trying so hard to find things I can do. I know that some people would probably die to be in my place, and when I worked I would have died to be in my place. When I think about doing hair again, I just don't get excited. I don't know if its the thought of doing hair or just getting a job in general. I know that once we move into our house my days will be very busy unpacking and decorating. I am really excited and I know I will enjoy it. Only 2 more weeks. I know I am just throwing a pity party! I am just not used to sitting around all day.

Only four more days for my friend Jackie's wedding!! Last night I went over to her house along with some of her mom's best friends. Her mom cooked dinner for us and we sipped on some wine and discussed last minute details for the wedding. I love weddings and watching them fall into place.
Thursday I am going to go with Jackie and her family to get our nails done. I am really excited and feel special to get to go. It will be fun cause it will just be us and we are going to bring our dinner there and a bottle of wine! =)
Her wedding is going to be beautiful. I can't wait for it to be here and I know can't either.

My adorable Nephew

I just wanted to share this with everyone. This is my nephew Major. He is so sweet!

My weekend update

This weekend was great! And Ryan's first week of work went great!
Friday night Ryan and I hung out at my Parent's house. They just recently moved west of 35W out in the country. They have a cute house with a barn and a guest house that sits on like 40 acres. They love it! They have 5 cows and my sister and her husband just got 2 donkeys. So I guess you could say my parents now live on a farm! Ha! I love it.
My sister and I cooked a great dinner for the family and we sat down at the table and socialized while we ate. After dinner, our friends Josh, Becca, Andy, and the Burnett's came over to see the house and to hang out. We sat by the fire pit, sipped on some hot chocolate and caught up on life.
Saturday morning we woke up and my sister and I made breakfast for everyone. Ryan and I left and met Chris, Angela, Angela's dad, Lauren and Eric for some lunch at Snuffer's. After lunch we headed home so I could shower up for a big night of fun!!
Jackie's bachelorette party/Lingerie shower was Saturday night. We had a lot of fun. Her sister cooked us a great dinner and after the Lingerie shower we played a couple of games and then
went out to Logan's in Addison. We danced our bootie's off! 5 more days till the BIG DAY!!
Sunday Ryan and I and his parents spent the day eating and watching the cowboys loose. BLAH! enough said!
Today, I am being kinda lazy, I don't have much to do this week so I want to spread it out and not do everything in one day. So I am taking my time getting ready for the day.....
Hope everyone is having a wonderful Monday! God bless!

BLESSED!

This morning I woke up feeling very blessed. Ryan and I have been amazed by what the Lord has done these past few weeks. Our move from Norman went well. Our dads and my mom came to help us pack up the cars and repaint our duplex white. I do not know why I had to paint every room in our RENT house a different color. I knew I was going to have to paint it back. Oh well, we actually had a blast doing it. The dads werent to happy about it but they got through it.
We are so happy to be back in the GREAT state of TEXAS!! The holidays were alot of fun. It was so nice to spend time with family. Santa was really good this year! =) For New Years we went to China Springs to visit our best friends Chris and Angela. Our friends Jason and Andrea came too. We had so much fun with them. We always do. While we were there we celebrated Chris's Birthday and New Years, played cars and can not forget to mention almost took a trip to the emergency room... Angela slipped and fell and cut the back of her head. She probably needed stitches but Miss stubborn did not think so.. Haha! She was fine after awhile and we were able to joke around about it.
Alot has already happened this year for Ryan and I.....
Ryan started his first "real" job on Monday. He is really enjoying it. He has already learned so much. He gets along with all the guys he works with. It is better than what he thought!
Ryan and I bought our first house! Yea! It is so adorable. It is in Keller, which is perfect cause it is closer to Ryan's work than Flower Mound. I will have to post pictures once we move in. We are moving in on Febuaray 1st. Less than a month away. I am so excited and can not wait to decorate it.
I have not started looking for a job. I am going to wait until after we move into our house. I have been looking at salons and already have a few in mind.

Like I said before, Ryan and I feel so blessed and are amazed by what the Lord has done. He has answered so many prayers and has guided us through this big transition in our lives.

Three More Days!

We are finally coming home!! Ryan finished all his exams and received his class ring and cap and gown. Its almost official! He is about to graduate from college. CRAZY!! We are both so excited for him to be done and to be back home in Texas. We are going to miss Norman, Oklahoma very much. Last Saturday I threw Ryan a Birthday/Goodbye party. He turned 23 on December 6th. It was a great turn out. His friend Landon helped me make a video that we played for him there. He loved it. The party was a great way for us to say our goodbyes and hang out with everyone one last time before we moved. We have met some amazing people here @ OU. We are hoping to stay in touch with all of them and visit Norman often.

This last week the state of Oklahoma has gone through what the news is calling a "Natural Disaster". The power went out in our house around 12Am Monday morning. When we woke up it was pretty cold and dark in our house so we got in our car and headed to Hastings, a little coffee shop/book store, so Ryan could study and I had a chance to catch up on my bible study. As we were driving we were in shock of the disaster that we saw. Every other tree was broken in half and had fallen to the ground. We saw a couple of cars that were destroyed by the trees. Every where that had power was packed by people who had no power and no where to go. That night we stayed at a friends house with our friends Jason and Andrea on the other side of town. We found out that 85% of Norman was out of power!! We woke up early Tuesday and went to our house to see if we had power and to check on our dogs. We unfortunately did not have power. Ryan took 2 of his finals and I had lunch with my bible study girls! We stayed in a hotel room Tuesday night with Jason and Andrea. I had so much fun hanging out with Andrea and Jason. Ryan had to study most of the time. We got our power back Wednesday late afternoon.

I have been packing up and get stuff together to move out on Saturday when our parents come up. They should be here in the morning and we hope to get the cars packed and everything moved out by the evening. Ryan's graduation is on Sunday afternoon. YEA!! After his graduation we hope to head our way to The Big State of TEXAS!!

Please pray for all the people in Norman that still do not have power. And the people who have lost cars due to this disaster.
